It is important to keep every dental device as clean as possible in between dentist's seeing their patients. This is why they do everything they can to ensure all of their tools are sanitized in between each patient.
They do a few different things to keep every tool and dental instruments to keep their patients and themselves from getting any disease or illness. Here are a few things dentist's do to make sure you and everyone else they see on a daily basis are safe from getting sick. They Wear Masks and GlovesYou may see your dentist wearing a mask all day long. That is to prevent them from getting sick from you and prevent you from getting sick from them. The gloves are used for the same thing. They keep their hands clean and keep any germs they may be carrying from going on to you or their tools and instruments they use on you. They Discard Used NeedlesNeedles cannot and should not be used again on any other patients. You might remember seeing them throwing away used needles in a particular box. This box is marked with the word "hazard" and should not be handled by patients because of the dirty needles inside it. Your dentist knows how to get rid of this box the right way. They Sanitize Tools and Instruments in Special Alcohol and a SolutionYour dentist has a particular type of alcohol or solution he or she uses to disinfect the tools and instruments he will use on a daily basis. There is nothing to worry about because he or she will make sure the tools and instruments they use are always clean before and after each use. If you would like more information on how your dentist sanitizes everything, contact us, and we will be happy to explain everything properly to you.
